My terms, conditions, and dire warnings

This is an Excel spreadsheet that attempts to automate the calculation of child support guidelines, based on a layman's understanding of Florida Statutes. Make no mistake: I AM NOT AN ATTORNEY. This little rambling is just my feeble attempt to pretend to be one... and amuse myself in the process. However, there is a serious message here: be careful and don’t take advantage.

If you choose to download and/or use this spreadsheet, you do so at your own risk. I make no guarantees (real or implied) that this spreadsheet does what it claims or appears to do correctly. I have not consulted with an attorney before, during or since the creation of this spreadsheet. If you use this spreadsheet, you should have an attorney review the figures to make sure that the results are accurate and based on Florida Law.

Just like you shouldn’t believe everything you read on the internet, you should be skeptical of this spreadsheet. For all you know I’m some guy who hasn’t shaved in a month.

You are free to download, store, and use this spreadsheet; so long as you agree to the terms of this agreement. You may not share this spreadsheet with any third party unless a copy of the text of this agreement accompanies this spreadsheet. (Better yet, just give them this link.) You agree that you shall be solely responsible for any misuse of this spreadsheet, in the event that you distribute this spreadsheet to any third party without a copy of this agreement. You may not charge any third party a fee in return for a copy of this spreadsheet. You may not accept any form of compensation from a third party in return for a copy of this spreadsheet (gifts, donations, in kind services, guidelines for goats, etc.). You may not duplicate any part of this software for the purposes of developing, marketing, distributing, or selling any commercial product.

By downloading and/or using this spreadsheet, you acknowledge that you have read this agreement. You agree that the author (that's me) will not be held responsible for any errors that may be made by this spreadsheet; and that I will not be held responsible for any consequences of those errors stemming from your use of this spreadsheet. This spreadsheet was created on a Macintosh, which is not vulnerable to the endless sea of viruses, worms and trojans that affect the various flavors of Microsoft Windows operating systems.
