| Return to the Interesting People page A Civil War Veteran who belonged to the “Pennsylvania Bucktails,” the 149th Pennsylvania Infantry (company B). Fought at the Battle of Gettysburg. Company B was organized out of Clearfield County, PA. He joined as a private on August 26, 1862. He was wounded at Weldon Railroad, Va., August 21, 1864; transferred to Veteran Reserve Corps, date unknown. This was the second fighting group known as the “Pennsylvania Bucktails”... aka the second bucktails, or new bucktails.
