Moved to US from Germany at the age of 16, per obit. Grandmother’s notes suggest surname: “Plotznick,” but everywhere else she’s known as Petznick. Census records indicate Meta arrived in 1883, 1891, 1885 (1910, 1920, 1930). Ancestry passenger list has a Meta Petznick arriving via Netherlands and Ireland in New York on 10 May 1886 - which conflicts with Hilda’s date of birth. Meta was supposed to have met husband in US. Birth too close to arrival date.
