The always nefarious internet

How long has the local news been showing off Google Earth in it’s evening segments? In it’s post-game, 11 o’clock show, channel ten was telling a story about something that happened in the Ocala National Forest. (I wasn’t paying close enough attention to learn what happened. I only left the TV on by accident.) Despite being less than one hundred miles away, there are probably more than a few folks around that couldn’t correctly pick wich state the Ocala National Forest is in (FL)… enter Google Earth. It’s awesome when the local newstainment scares mommies into believing that the internet is going to eat their children, then turns around and uses it as a prop in their regular broadcast.

Whoa Nelly, it’s going to be a long night.
