A federal appeals court on Monday dismissed a lawsuit filed by a Syrian-born Canadian man who had accused the United States of violating the law and his civil rights after he was detained at Kennedy Airport and sent to Syria under what he claims was an act of “extraordinary rendition…”

The United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York ruled that because he was never technically inside the United States, his claims could not be heard in the federal courts.

The nation’s busiest airport dueled with gun rights advocates Tuesday over whether a new Georgia state law allows visitors to carry firearms at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

All right baby! That’s what I’m talking about! This is exactly what we need – guns in airports, just like the good Lord intended. So what if you can’t bring ’em on the plane – I want… no, I NEED my gun on my hip every last second. Guns, lots of angry people around… it really gets my engine humming. I think I’m gonna book my flight for Atlanta right now. By the time I get there, I’m sure the good folks of the Georgia legislature and the Federal Courts will gitter done.
