I was about to sit down to some serious writing before I was so rudely interupted by a software bug.
Ah yes, I was going to tell you everything you never wanted to know.
Actually, tonight’s post is inspired by the weather. You see, every time it gets really cold out I think about New England. I shouldn’t, because I haven’t lived there for… jeez, I’m fresh out of fingers and toes.
I saw the funniest alert when I launched an application on my Mac this evening. It was telling me that a new version of the software was available.
No, that’s not the part that was funny. It seemed like I’d just clicked the “remind me later” button, when I noticed one of the bug fixes:
Fix a bug that caused “remind me later” software updates to appear too frequently.
That, my friends…
The number of pictures I take at the beach is as much a function of proximity as anything else. It’s not that I don’t enjoy doing anything else; quite the contrary. In fact, some of the best times I’ve had outdoors have been at some of our state parks that are miles from the nearest beach. Some of you have probably had enough of me gushing over our camping trips at Gold Head Branch State…
If you’re a Florida fan, you can’t say that Michigan didn’t deserve to win the game today. Other than turnovers, UM outplayed the Gators in every way. In fact, if it weren’t for the turnovers the game wouldn’t have been close.

I didn’t have any intention of writing this evening, right up until about twenty minutes ago. That was when I decided to have a look at some of the pictures I took on our little hike this afternoon.
The kids were getting a little restless, and Cheryl really wasn’t feeling well, so I decided to get the kids out of the house. We hopped in the car and five minutes later we were cruising across…

We almost never get fog here on the west coast of Florida, but this week has been full of exceptions. An evening fog is almost unheard of, even out on the barrier islands.
I took Adam out for a sunset walk on the beach this evening, and even though we didn’t see much sunset, it was still really cool… mostly because of the rare conditions. It reminded me of those early morning bike rides to…
